Speakers from the European Commission, Local Authorities, the private sector and national policy-makers will discuss the changes and new public-private partnerships in the waste management sector brought about due to the implementation of producer responsibility for various waste streams such as packaging, WEEE(Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment) and batteries.A complementary topical issue is the possible effects of the liberalising services directive, with a focus on specific examples of countries which have already liberalised all or part of municipal waste management services. This conference is organised by ACR+ and COPIDEC with the support of the Minister of the Environment of the Walloon Region.
