This study will provide analysis and recommendations on improving
implementation and enforcement of EU waste policy, focusing on the
economic, financial and social benefits of this activity. It will follow
on from the AG Prognos study ‘Resource savings and CO2 reduction
potential waste management in Europe and the possible contribution to
the CO2 reduction target in 2020’ and the ‘Study on the feasibility of
the establishment of a Waste Implementation Agency’ previously
commissioned by the European Commission.
